Padma also revealed why she left Top Chef

PADMA Lakshmi has been spotted while walking the streets of New York City in a fabulous outfit.

The 53-year-old was seen in Soho while on an outing in the cold east coast weather.

Padma was wearing a tiny mustard-yellow minidress that was fitted to her slender figure.

Still, she hid most of her cuʀvᴇs with a mᴀssive puffy navy blue fur coat that came down past her dress.

The Top Chef star paired her outfit with a white leather pair of knee-high boots with buckles at the knee and ankle.

She also accessorized with her cell phone and several dainty silver necklaces.

The model was casually crossing the street as she showed off her flawless natural skin.

Padma even looked at the camera and gave the pH๏τographer a shy smile before walking away.

GOODBYE CHEF

The television star spoke about leaving Top Chef in an interview about her well-being and future.

She revealed why she left the long-running Bravo show during an interview with New Beauty.

In her first hint behind her decision to leave Top Chef, she told the outlet that the move helped her “make some space for herself, both personally and professionally.”

She explained: “Last year was all about going out on the road. I was filming for eight months, and it really took a toll on me. That’s one of the big reasons why I decided to cut back and only do one show.

“There were other complex reasons for leaving Top Chef. I had been doing it a long time, and there are other things that we don’t have time for in this interview, but that was one of the reasons I had to leave,” she added mysteriously.

Padma emphasized: “I needed to make more space for me. I needed to spend more quality time with my family, specifically my daughter, but also make space for creative growth and intellectual challenge.”

STILL ON AIR

Although Padma decided to leave Top Chef, she’s staying in the world of food television on Taste the Nation.

The Hulu show which explores American food starred Padma and premiered on June 18, 2020.

Padma has also written multiple books throughout her successful career, including cookbooks, a memoir, and a children’s book.

In 1999, her debut cookbook, Easy Exotic, was published, and it received the Best First Book Award at the 1999 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.

Padma’s second cookbook тιтled Tangy, Tart, H๏τ & Sweet was published in 2007.

In 2016, she published her memoir, Love, Loss, and What We Ate, as well as The Encyclopedia of Spices & Herbs – a “culinary reference book.”

Lakshmi’s first children’s book тιтled Tomatoes for Neela was published in 2021.
